This program is not a "rewrite" of existing relationship programs with scriptures added on, but a fresh approach from Biblical Hebrew and Greek giving hope and practical tools to change hurtful patterns and restore wounded relationships.

Description of the: Bible Studies
- this is not psychotherapy
- this is not just reading or memorizing Bible stories
- this is about discovering more about who God really is and what God's heart is toward us.
- we will be learning how to use God’s prescriptions for living healthy lives
(what is God’s say-so and how-to about the issues in our lives that create the greatest sorrows and the greatest joys?)
A Child’s Heart is now in the process of adapting the "Longings of the Heart" curriculum from the adult course "Building Healthy Relationships in an unhealthy world", by Walt and Valerie Acuff, founders of the international Christian ministry Skills for Living...
"We became aware of A Child’s Heart ministry when the founder, Jackie Cotton, attended the pilot of our adult seminar, based on the healing principles of Isaiah 61. In response to her request we granted A Child’s Heart permission to adapt our adult curriculum, 'Building Healthy Relationships in an unhealthy world', for children [and teens and families] which they are calling 'Longings of the Heart Family Series' ".

At A Child's Heart we try to remember that the name Nehemiah means “Yahweh consoles.” This Bible study either used in sequence or in a topical form, will serve as a strong, consoling ministry to help build the walls of life for children, youth, and adults from a broken family structure. The family is a crucial part of life, so with that in mind a family series is in the beginning stages to help start the mending process as a family, i.e. Single Parent Families, Blended Families or Foster Families. Meeting weekly provides tools for the church to build relationships with these families and those adults who are looking for someone to walk beside them.
Yes,"Yahweh consoles" with Bible truths.
